August Dvur Kralove Zoo celebrated a double birthday parties of Bornean orangutans - female Satu and her baby Dewi.
Lion talk and feeding took place at the Lion House as well on August 31. Lion male Brahma and female Avani ate chunks of meat in front of visitors´ eyes. We talked about threats to lions in the wild, too.

Dvur Kralove Zoo has prepared a Christmas present for all visitors – on Christmas Eve (24.12.) and New Year (1.1.) entrance to the zoo only for 1 CZK. Also, from 20.12.2012 till 6.1.2013 there will be a special discount to all entrance fee.

Orangutan Caring Week

The second birthday of orang utan baby. Employee of the nutrition and zoology department and basic schools leaded by Mgr. Jana Rehorova prepared a fruit cake, present and enrichment for birthday girl.
50th Baby Rhino Born In Dvur Kralove Zoo

On Saturday 8th September 2012 in the afternoon, Dvur Kralove Zoo’s 50th baby rhino was born. Mother and baby are fine.
Internship for the students of High School of Information Science and Services at Dvur Kralove Zoo

Two groups of students are attending the zoo every other Tuesday between 8.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. The main aim of the internship for the students was to gain basic experience as guides.
Summer Zoo Camp for the Club of Young Naturalists, Dvur Kralove Zoo

Dvur Kralove Zoo organised their 8th annual zoo-camp. Young Naturalists were attending a special programme on a daily basis. They took part in a number of teaching lessons and experience programmes.

The Rarest Rhinos Travel Back to Africa

Four of the world's last known remaining eight northern white rhinos will be relocated from captivity back to the wild on Sunday 20th December 2009, thanks to the collaborative efforts of a consortium of conservation organisations.
