We participate in preserving species of animals on the brink of extinction - the mission and obligation of modern zoos. Unfortunately, it is man that is largely at fault for the threat hanging over such creatures. However, one role of every zoo should be to educate and carry out related matters. Moreover, zoos are important places for zoological research.

Therefore, they cannot be considered as being like circuses or even prisons for animals, as some may think. Each visit or gift helps save species at risk. Many would be lost forever without the efforts made by zoos.
